A rugby club is to get a new permanent home after it struck a deal with a council.
The pavilion in Shoreham's Buckingham Park, off Upper Shoreham Road, will be given a £25,000 makeover after Adur District Council agreed to lease the building to Shoreham Rugby Club.
The club will also take over the lease of the Cupcakes cafe in the park.
Readers' letters to The Argus have expressed disappointment and concern that the rugby club will not open the cafe as much as the current leaseholder, although one of the conditions of the deal is that the cafe has to be open 90 per cent of its current operating hours.
Until details between the club and the council have been finalised, the current leaseholder will remain at the cafe.
