With the St Modwen development in Bexhill Road, Woodingdean, now in an advanced state of construction, it is about time Brighton and Hove City Council took the bull by the horns and came forward with a new extension bypass to link the A27 to the A259 from Falmer to Rottingdean.
The development will mean that sooner or later something will have to be done otherwise this road will be gridlocked more often than at present during peak times. We already have bottlenecks at Falmer, The Downs Hotel crossroads and Rottingdean village and this development will only increase these.
