With all the concern about cigarette ends outside buildings, and businesses being threatened with prosecution, have the authorities not thought about the amount of litter from cash machines outside banks?
I use cash machines regularly and always find the tiny waste bin full and impossible to use.
If it is the responsibility of pubs, clubs and public buildings to clear up cigarette ends that their customers have left, surely it's the responsibility of the banks to clear up these receipts.
I work close to a bank and spend my day clearing up receipts that blow into the doorway.
Also, has anyone ever followed the refuse and recycling collectors and seen the amount of litter left blowing in the streets after them?
I am not a smoker but it seems that smokers and businesses are being picked on.
