THE WOMEN’S Euros trophy will be in Brighton this weekend following the Lionesses’ success in Europe.

Footie fans can have their photos taken with the UEFA Women’s Euro Trophy won by the England women’s team this summer.

Players including Ellen White, Jill Scott, Beth Mead and Leah Williamson won the hearts of the nation as England lifted the cup for the first time in August.

The Lionesses gave us an incredible summer of football – who can forget that backheel from Alessia Russo against Sweden?

And fans in Brighton and Hove will now be able to catch a glimpse of the trophy as part of the Goal Power exhibition at Brighton Museum and Art Gallery.

Brighton and Hove Museums chief executive Hedley Swain said: “We are thrilled to have this very special trophy in our museum, and we want to thank the FA and UEFA for allowing us to share it with the public.

“The success of the England women’s national team gave the entire nation a lift this summer and was very special for us with some of the matches taking place in our city.

"Our Goal Power exhibition puts their success into context and celebrates the women through history who led to this win.”

The trophy will be on display from 10am to 5pm on Saturday in the Goal Power exhibition.

Goal Power recently hid footballs around the city with free entry to the exhibition for those who find them.
