A man appeared in court today charged with the murder of a woman in Horsham.
Martin James Garratty, 40, of Godwin Court, Jockey Mead Road, Horsham, appeared at Crawley Magistrates on Tuesday morning.
He was charged with murder of Rhona Heywood who was found in a flat in the same block at about midnight on March 22.
A post mortem revealed Ms Heywood died from head and chest injuries.
Garrattty is due to appear at Lewes Crown Court on April 8.
