A 40-year-old man will appear in court today charged with murder after a woman's body was discovered in a flat.
Martin James Garratty was arrested by police after they found the body of a woman when they were called to a property in Godwin Court, Horsham, just before midnight on Saturday.
The woman has not yet been formally identified but is believed to be in her 60s.
A post mortem examination revealed she died as a result of head and chest injuries.
Garratty, also of Godwin Court, Horsham, is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court.
