My daughter attends Warden Park School in Cuckfield and I am most concerned at the proposal to use biometric technology in the school, including using pupils' fingerprints to control access to the canteen and library (The Argus, March 6).
The opportunity for parents to discuss this proposal at the parent's consultation evening was not communicated well to the parents. The meeting was poorly attended and I do not believe this was because everyone is happy with the proposal.
Yes, the school published details on its website and it was mentioned in a newsletter but the school did not go out of its way to make sure all parents were well informed.
As a matter of interest, my daughter, Sine Aberdour, is one of the students in the picture you published in the original article and she opposes this system.
