Fire tore through a barn destroying two tractors worth thousands of pounds.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze in Ford Lane, Ashurst, near Henfield.
Investigators were still at the scene this morning.
A resident dialled 999 when they spotted smoke pouring from the concrete framed structure at about 8.50pm yesterday.
Crews from Partridge Green, Henfield and Horsham fire stations arrived within minutes. The fire was extinguished shortly afterwards.
