A lifeboat crew rescued a man who reportedly jumped into a river outside a pub.
Police were called to the Arun View pub in Wharf Road, Littlehampton, at 11.20pm yesterday.
A man had reportedly become trapped in the river after jumping into the Arun.
He was rescued by a crew from the Royal National Lifeboat Institution at Littlehampton.
The man was taken to hospital as a precaution but was uninjured.
