Ian Hunt was quite right to be concerned that the Guildbourne Centre in Worthing might be developed (Letters, March 7). More worrying is the proposal for a new swimming pool on the site of Denton Gardens, one of east Worthing's few green spaces (The Argus, February 21).
If anyone suggested building a block of flats on Denton Gardens there would be uproar. Instead councillors are quite sure that with a swimming pool they can get away with it.
Denton Gardens was given to the people of Worthing in 1922 by Alderman James Denton and the council now wants to concrete over it.
