A SELF-PROCLAIMED "geek" has spoken of his experiences on a TV show where people pair up with "beauties" hoping to find love.
Nitish Doolub, 35, will appear on Beauty And The Geek UK after being approached due to his collection of Pokemon cards worth over £100,000.
Nitish, from Haywards Heath, is one of the top Pokemon players in the world and is taking part in the series where he stands a chance of winning £50,000.
He is not allowed to reveal how he gets on in the reality show but said: "Being on the show was a wonderful experience and I made friends for life.
"They had us living to together and doing challenges and we were taken out of our comfort zone.
"I think the show will go down particularly well."
He said he was approached to take part as one of the best Pokemon card game players in the world, having taken part in the World Championships in 2018.
He said the trading card game has allowed him to travel across the world and he has travelled to America, the UAE and Brazil for tournaments. He is currently ranked in the top 25 players in the world.
Nitish has amassed a large collection of rare and exclusive Pokemon cards, including some which are only available at events such as the World Championships.
The reality TV show is a reboot of the popular American series and sees eight "geeks" paired up with eight "beauties" in a series of challenges with the hope that the couples will find love.
Couples are slowly eliminated throughout the show, with the last pair standing being declared the winners and sharing the £50,000 prize.
Nitish, 34, is a huge Pokémon fan with 22 years of experience, £100,000 pounds worth of Pokémon cards, and is ranked among the top 22 players in the EU. He travels all over the world to compete. Who can keep up with his globetrotting schedule?#BATGUK pic.twitter.com/QzexOo9An7

The series kicks off on Discovery+ in the UK on Sunday and is headed by radio DJs Mollie King and Matt Edmonson.
