A man has been charged with the stabbing of a college worker.
Simon Sargent, 36, of Queens Road, East Grinstead, was charged with wounding following an apparently unprovoked attack on a 27-year-old man.
The victim was approached by a man with a knife in Queens Road outside the Central Sussex College's East Grinstead campus on Monday morning.
The victim was taken to East Surrey Hospital where he is being treated for stab wounds. His condition is stable.
Sargent was remanded in custody and appeared at Crawley Magistrates Court this morning.
