A man was seriously injured after he was stabbed outside a college campus.

The 27-year-old employee from Central Sussex College was wounded in Queen's Road, East Grinstead, at 11.30am today.

His injuries were not thought to be life-threatening but he was taken to hospital for treatment.

A 36-year-old local man was arrested shortly afterwards and taken into police custody. A knife has been recovered close to the scene.
