Tribute bands - love em or loath em - play a useful role in bringing otherwise unavailable, legendary artists to those who missed them first time around.
So big has this industry spin-off become that many acts have spawned more than one high-profile tribute version - The Beatles being the most obvious example.
Likewise, probably the most well-known Pink Floyd is The Australian Pink Floyd, who fill stadiums worldwide.
Judging by their long tour schedule though, British version Think Floyd seem to be almost as successful, and are just as accomplished. While not lookalikes, their quality of playing and note-for-accuracy are beyond question.
Rather than just performing the hits, the band was true to the spirit of the original, playing some of the more experimental pieces.
This was powerful, convincing stuff.
