Regarding your front page headline, "Should there be a city-wide ban on plastic bags?" (The Argus, March 10), in his Budget, the Chancellor echoed these sentiments.
But why is it that when you travel to nearby Lewes and Adur, there are abundant recycling points for plastic yet there are hardly any in Brighton and Hove?
Are Brighton and Hove City Council really "eco friendly" and do they really have strong environmental groups and parties?
Or is this all just as fashionable as the carrier bags they carry their shopping home in?
