Regrettably Lawrence Marzouk, in his article advocating an elected mayor (The Argus, March 14), did not propose that we find out from the people of London and other places where they do have an elected mayor what they actually think of the system.
For example, do they feel disenfranchised?
Would they prefer to have a different system of local government ?
Facts are sacred if opinion be free!
