A 30ft long and 8ft high privet hedge has been cut down near my home.
I guess a fence of some description will be erected in its place but that well-established privet was home to blackbirds, thrushes, wrens and sparrows, possibly others as well.
No wonder the RSPB complains there is a big reduction in these species.
