Lis Telcs and K Dyer are wearing rose-tinted blinkers when they claim Labour and the Tories have a history of supporting Pride (Letters, March 4 and 10).
Perhaps the reason K Dyer thinks the Tories were the first party to take part in Pride was because they've never been there to see the Greens.
From 1999 until recently the Greens were the only party to march at Pride. I believe it's still the only party to have an active lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender group, developing local policy and supporting our councillors.
With or without LGBT councillors the Greens made by far the most comprehensive local election pledges on LGBT issues which all our councillors are fully behind.
