If the buses are full as Peter Usher claims (Letters, March 11), it shows how many more people want to use bus services.
From April there will be many more peak-time buses from Peacehaven to Newhaven, including a limited stop service, making bus journeys even more attractive to travellers.
It is motorists who have caused these long traffic queues. If Mr Usher wants to object to possible additional congestion, he should direct his ire towards measures predominantly helping pedestrians, such as the installation of traffic signals at Saltdean and Peacehaven and narrowing the road through Rottingdean.
