I fully support the project Team which aims to give youngsters confidence and teamwork experience (The Argus, March 10).
It's all too easy to blame social problems on the availability of alcohol or the young generation having it easy. Life for young people these days is anything but easy.
The pace of life and the pressure and expectations on young people has increased significantly in recent years.
Whereas people used to grow up in small communities with role models, they now grow up in the community of the internet and have impossibly beautiful, successful and rich celebrities as role models. On top of this house prices mean that affording their own home is almost impossible and the job market these days doesn't offer any security.
I would like to see more projects like this, helping young people rather than pointing the finger of blame and telling them that they've never had it so easy.
