I fully support the parents of West Hove Infant and Junior Schools, who recently demonstrated against an application by Orange to site a base station close nearby (The Argus, March 4).

It's about time all mobile phone companies and local councils had a rethink about such plans. I congratulate the parents and children for their campaign, which has been featured in The Argus and on Meridian news. I hope the relevant councillors are watching and listening.

Shame on them if they give these proposals the go-ahead or abstain from voting. Do they have the courage to reject the proposals? Let's hope so.
