If you'd have been hard-pushed to recognise the rosy-cheeked Sandi from the washed out image on her first CD, the same applied to her live sound, which far outshone the recorded version.
Kicking off with a couple of unknown solo numbers was a bold move as Thom's voice, while full of passion, does not slide effortlessly between the octaves.
But three songs in, she came into her own as she hung a fresh harmonica round her neck, angled a melodious acoustic guitar ceilingwards and used a foot pedal to create Horsepower's belly-beat.
Drummer Craig Connet and guitarist Randall Brenamen joined her on stage for Punk Rocker and stayed for the rest of the set, which featured songs from her forthcoming album Pink And The Lily.
So will her second album be a million-seller? Judging by the gutsy Basement Blues and There's Only One Saturday Night, with its uplifting guitar and laid-back vocals, the answer is a resounding yes.
