A 16-year-old boy who was stabbed in the back predicted the brutal attack on his own web page.

Luke Kennedy logged in to the popular networking website Bebo just hours before he was knifed at a friend's house in Crawley.

He posted a chilling message on his page which read: "Enemies stab you in the front. Friends stab you in the back. Girlfriends stab you in the heart. But me, one of ur boiz, carries a knife. To stab them right back."

The news comes as a 14-year-old boy is due to appear before magistrates charged with the stabbing this afternoon.

On the website, the former St Wilfred's School pupil described himself as "extremely outgoing" and "scared of nothing", and lists his interests as rugby and boxing.

Luke was stabbed once in the upper back at a home in Fitchet Close, Ifield, on Monday afternoon.

He was attacked from behind as he bent down to put on his trainers.

The friend's mother administered first aid and neighbours watched in horror as Luke was flown to the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel, east London.

His condition was initially life-threatening but he has since improved and he is now said to be critical but stable.

Armed police surrounded a property in Ifield Drive, Ifield, before going to Chiltern Close, West Green, where they arrested the 14-year-old boy at about 7pm on Monday.

The youth has been charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

He is due to appear at Crawley Magistrates' Court to face the offence this afternoon.

Meanwhile friends have left a string of messages of support on Luke's Bebo website.

One pal, Katie, said: "Thinking of you every minute of the day. I got faith in you Luke. Don't let me down. Missing you."

Another message, from a user called Lucy, reads: "Luke please pull through for us, we can't lose you now you've gone too far to give up."

Matthew Rawcliffe said: "Luke, I don't know what it is, you've always got different beef and you always deal with it, so don't let me down this time.

"Everyone is missing you, it's all round Crawley. Come on bruv, you're a soldier."

Despite an extensive search, police have still not recovered the black-handled kitchen knife which is believed to be the weapon used in the attack.

Anyone with information should call police on 0845 6070999 quoting Operation Kinsale or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
