Our politicians are selling the British people down the line regarding what we can or can't do under European law.
I can't see the rest of Europe doing away with their patio heaters. In Spain people still smoke in bars and it is allowed if the bar owner puts a notice up to say it's a smoking establishment. Originally smoking was banned but, because people did not accept it, the law was changed.
There are many rules that the Europeans just ignore and get away with, especially to do with health and safety. The next thing we will be told is that we cannot use gas barbecues. Britain should be able to rule itself and not be told what to do by Europe.
