Bin collections were today cancelled by Lewes District Council because of the weather.
The move followed the closure of Beddingham Waste Disposal Site and safety concerns for crews operating in stormy conditions and high winds.
Refuse collections will resume tomorrow, Tuesday.
A council spokesman said: "This means that all refuse collections will take place one day later than normal for the rest of this week, with an extra collection day on Saturday 15th March. "
Recycling collections are not affected and will take place as usual.
