As your reviewer Simon Copeland stated, the Grandmothers performed their former employer Frank Zappa's music with great skill and obvious love for the material at Komedia (The Argus, March 6).

However, Simon's opening statement that Zappa is, unlike most 1960s and 1970s rock figures, virtually forgotten, is quite preposterous. His catalogue is widely available and his music covered such broad and challenging areas that it is often covered by avant garde and classical ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet rather than lumpen tribute bands.
