DJ Andrew Butler is sure to receive quite an ovation when he drops Blind, the sublime Hercules & Love Affair track which looks set to become one of 2008's defining singles.
Featuring the idiosyncratic vocals of Mercury Music Prize winner Antony Hegarty and boasting a remix from house legend Frankie Knuckles, Butler recorded this nu-disco classic four years ago.
Hegarty graces several other tracks on H&LA's eponymous debut album, released on Monday. Although nothing on it quite measures up to Blind, a few tracks come close, not least the joyous Hercules' Theme.
The band are currently perfecting their live show and these DJ dates will be followed by a one-off London gig in June and a performance at Camp Bestival later in the year.
