A COW has been rescued by fire crews after it fell in a ditch and was stranded.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue were called at around 8.19pm yesterday evening.
Crews from Crowborough’s Animal Rescue Unit and Eastbourne attended the incident in Hazelwood Avenue, Eastbourne.
They used mud rescue paths and hydraulic equipment to rescue the cow.
An ESFR spokesman said: “The cow was returned to its owner and we left the scene at 10.36pm.”
