A GROUP of Brighton fans enjoyed the first home game of the season in style after winning a competition run by The Argus.
The competition gave fans and their guests the chance to experience the match from the American Express Lounge, which included a private balcony and pre-match food and drink.
The 10 winners and their guests were treated to a fantastic experience as they cheered on the Seagulls in a nail-biting 0-0 draw against Newcastle.
Nikki Edelman, Vice President at American Express, said: “We’re excited to see what the season holds and wish the club the best of luck.”
Brighton contested a hard-fought draw with Newcastle in which they were unlucky to not take all three points.
Albion provided everything but the final finish throughout the game as Solly March and Adam Lallana both had attempts cleared off the line.
Fans and players alike could not believe they did not come away with the win as they had to contend with fantastic saves from new Magpies goalkeeper Nick Pope.
The draw is so far the only points dropped in Brighton’s record this season as the team find themselves in the Europa League places after three games.
