THE owner of a wizarding shop is set to launch his own magical spirit.
Wizard’s Gold, an all-natural Madagascan vanilla spirit infused with 23K gold, promises to be “mouth-watering, golden and certainly not boring”.
Oliver Dall, owner of award-winning magic shop Oliver’s Brighton in Trafalgar Street and creator of the new beverage, said: “The idea came to me when I got granted an alcohol license and as I was looking at what magical drinks I could sell in my shop I thought why don’t I take this opportunity to make my own.
“After ringing around a dozen local distilleries, one loved the sound of my idea.
“I always find when you’re out with friends, colleagues, or whoever drinking, someone waddles over with a tray of shots - I wanted a shot that was something unusual and unknown that surprised you how lush it tasted.”
The drink uses all-natural ingredients, with the spirit distilled and bottled in the UK.
Social posts teasing Wizard’s Gold feature an ouroboros - an ancient symbol of a snake or serpent eating its tail, used to signify infinity and the cycle of birth and death.
Another post on the brand’s Instagram account shows a sample box for the new product, with packaging being 100 per cent recyclable.
The 18 per cent ABV drink is due to be released later this winter.
