POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man "committed an indecent act on himself” on Brighton beach.
Members of the public noticed the man behaving indecently at Black Rock at around 1.30pm on Saturday, August 13.
They challenged him and he said his name was “Jamal”. He also said he was aged 24.
He then ran off from the scene towards the Palace Pier.
Police have issued a picture of a man they wish to speak to in connection with the incident. He is in his 20s and was wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts and carrying a black rucksack.
