TWO people have been left with serious injuries after a crash involving a motorbike and van.
The incident happened this afternoon around 1.45pm on the A21 near Hastings.
The road is still closed both ways between Harrow Lane and Upper Church Road.
Two people, who were on the motorbike, have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Shortly after 1.45pm on Wednesday, August 17, police responded to reports of a collision involving a motorcycle and a van on the A21 Sedlescombe Road North, Hastings.
"Two people have been taken to hospital with serious injuries.
"The road is currently closed in both directions between the junctions of Harrow Lane and Upper Church Road. No further information is available at this time."
Crash investigation work took place in the afternoon and is still ongoing.
Traffic was stretching back past Hastings Conquest Hospital and the Bannatyne Spa.
