MULTIPLE vehicles including a bus and three lorries went up in flames during an accidental fire at a racecourse.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) attended the blaze at Plumpton Racecourse shortly before midnight on Sunday, August 14.
Two cars, one bus, three lorries and a portacabin were alight when three fire engines from Brighton, Barcombe and Lewes arrived.
Large plumes of smoke can be seen rising from the fire. It is unclear how it started but a fire investigation has deemed it accidental.
A spokeswoman for ESFRS said: “At 11.42pm on August 14, we were called to attend Plumpton Racecourse, Plumpton following reports of a vehicle fire.
“Crews from Brighton, Barcombe and Lewes attended together with support from West Sussex Fire and Rescue.
“Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, on in seven foam and one hose reel to extinguish a fire affecting two cars, one bus, three HGV's and a portacabin.
"A fire investigation has taken place and the cause was deemed accidental.
“We left the scene at 3:04 and will return to the site this morning for reinspection.”
