SEVERAL headline acts cancelled their performances at a music festival due to “technical issues”.
Leee John, The Dualers and Darren Emerson criticised organisers of One Love Festival, which took place at Wiston estate, near Steyning, at the weekend.
Leee John, founder of band Imagination, said that due to “a lack of professional organisation and ongoing technical issues” his performance would not be able to take place yesterday.

“It is with the deepest sorrow that unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances and the lack of professional organisation and ongoing technical issues by the promoter of the One Love Festival Imagination, featuring Leee, shall not be performing today after appearing on site earlier today,” a statement said.
While DJ and producer Darren Emerson said he would not be able to perform on Saturday.
Due to contractual obligations not being met by the organizers of the One Love Festival. Unfortunately I will be unable to attend and perform on Saturday. I am devastated to let any one down that was expecting me to play this weekend. ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻

Disgruntled festival goers took to social media to express their frustration with the festival’s organisers, with some wanting refunds.
One person said: “Certainly not the festival that was marketed.”
Another said: “Absolutely gutted as are loads at the festival.”
Headline act Heather Small - former lead singer of M People - did take to the stage on Sunday.
And Julian Marley, son of the legendary Bob Marley, performed on Saturday.
The reggae festival has been held annually for 14 years, although this was the first time the event was held on the Wiston estate.
The festival was held in association with the Rio Ferdinand Foundation, a youth and community development charity that aims to create opportunities for young people from disadvantaged communities.
