ALBION fans sweltered in the summer heat during the goalless draw with Newcastle at the Amex Stadium on Saturday.
Supporters of the Seagulls donned the new kit and carried placards and flags as blue and white smoke bombs welcomed the team at their first match at home of the season.
Some even wore umbrella hats as Brighton was baked in 30C heat.
Graham Potter's team almost took the lead in the first half with an attempt by Solly March, only to be cleared by Kieran Trippier at the very last opportunity.
Albion increased their domination the longer the match wore on, but the team were unable to repeat their 2-1 success against Manchester United, with a second-half header by Adam Lallana repelled by Nick Pope.
The Seagulls manager welcomed the result and said: "To compete in the manner we did and to sustain that in as difficult conditions as I can remember, I have nothing but pride in the boys.
"I loved the performance, I loved what they tried to do so it's really positive.
"If there was one team that was going to win, it was going to be us."
Albion, who are unbeaten in their first two matches of the season, now sit at sixth in the Premier League - behind Leeds but above Tottenham.
Manchester United, who the Seagulls beat in their first match of the tournament, are currently in last place.
