THE Argus carried a quote by city council leader Mr Mac Cafferty: "We don't have the infrastructure the BBC requires to host the event." (The Eurovision Song Contest)
So, I have to ask ... if you knew this, why did you waste your time, council time and council workers' time on trying to host this event?
As is usual, you won't get the actual person replying, in fact no one replying. Because they are too scared to admit their failings?
If we get down to some nitty gritty and ask how many man hours were wasted on this effort, multiply by the horrendous pounds rate per hour, then I am sure that this large amount of money could be spent much better elsewhere.
Another case of the Mac Cafferty crew wasting council (OUR) money. Maybe spend the money on cleaning up the disgraceful loos in the town... or have they met their water...loo?
