SUPERSTAR singer Justin Bieber has been spotted with a Brighton and Hove Albion shirt.

It comes as the Canadian musician was supported by Brighton-born singer Sam Tompkins during a show in Trondheim, Norway.

Sam posted a series of photos on his social media, including two which show Justin accepting a Brighton and Hove Albion shirt as a gift.

In an emotional post on Instagram, Sam said: “I was in that crowd once upon a time - now I get to share the stage with my brother.

“Justin Bieber, thanks for sharing this enormous gift of love with me. and thank god for letting me share the gift of music with others.”

Sam began his career by busking on the streets of Brighton – primarily Bond Street and Ship Street.

He shot to fame in August last year after Justin - one of the highest-selling artists of all-time - gave him a shoutout for his music, encouraging his 250 million followers to listen to Sam's single (W)hole.

Since then, Sam has gone on to collaborate with Justin and recently took to the stage to perform Justin’s hit single Love Yourself side by side.

Speaking on stage during his recent support slot, Sam said: “My whole life, Justin has been my favourite artist.

“I might cry saying this. At 16 years old, I remember putting in my journal I wanted to support him one day, and here we are.”

In a previous interview with The Argus, Sam praised his hometown for giving him a platform to share his work.

“I owe a lot to Brighton and the people that inhabit it for lifting me up so early in my career and consistently since,” he said.

“I’m just super grateful I am getting to live my dream like this.”Sam’s song (W)hole was released in August 2021. The track explores Sam’s feelings about the current state of the world.

“At times it does feel hopeless and when you look around there is so much dividing us with one another, but the only way to get things on track is to work together,” he said.
