AT LEAST six fire engines are at the scene of a major 370-acre fire.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the blaze at 3.30pm this afternoon.
Several specialist vehicles are at the scene in Houghton, near Arundel.
A spokeswoman for the fire service said: “We are currently dealing with a fire at Bury Hill, Houghton.
“It is approximately 150 hectares of crops alight and we have six fire engines, six off-road vehicles and two water carriers at the scene.
“There is a lot of smoke in the area so if you live nearby, please close your windows.”
