TWO people have been taken to hospital with "serious injuries" after a three-car pile-up.
The crash happened last night at around 5.45pm on the A283 in Steyning between Canons Way and Clays Hill.
The road was closed both ways while emergency services attended.
A van, Skoda and Ford were involved in the crash.
A spokeswoman for Sussex Police said: “Police were called to the A283 in Steyning around 5.50pm on Friday, August 5, following reports of a three-car collision.
“Two people were taken to hospital with suspected serious injuries.
“The road was closed temporarily to allow emergency services to respond to the collision and for recovery of the vehicles to be arranged.”
West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service were also in attendance.
