AWARD-WINNING singer-songwriter Christina Aguilera will perform to a crowd of thousands this evening as the headline act for Brighton’s first Pride festival for more than two years.
The pop star will join Ella Henderson Todrick Hall and RuPaul’s Drag Race UK stars Tia Kofi and Bimini on the main stage as Brighton Pride celebrates its 30th anniversary.
It is the first Pride festival to take place in Preston Park since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
Preston Park will feature more than 100 LGBTQ+ acts over the weekend across several different stages. Revellers will also be able to enjoy fairground rides at the festival.
The community parade across the city will also take place today from 11am, setting off from Hove Lawns and passing by some of Brighton’s most notable landmarks, including the i360, the Royal Pavilion and St Peter’s Church.
