DETECTIVES are investigating after a woman said she was the victim of a sexual offence in a public garden.
The incident happened in Brunswick Square, Hove, in the early hours of Tuesday.
The woman is being supported by specially trained officers while the investigation progresses.
Police want to hear from any witnesses, or anyone who saw a man behaving suspiciously in the area.
They would particularly like to speak with anyone who may have captured any relevant CCTV, doorbell or dash cam footage.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Pollington. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously via the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
