A MAN has been arrested following a knifepoint robbery in a street.
Police responded to a report of the robbery in Eastern Road, Brighton, between the Royal Sussex County Hospital and the Esso garage at around 12.40am on Tuesday.
A pedestrian was approached by the man who ordered him to hand over his phone and wallet.
He handed the man his phone and made it to a place of safety before contacting police.
A 21-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of an offensive weapon and remains in custody.
