BBC Radio 1 presenter Greg James is set to jump into a shark tank today in the city’s aquarium to retrieve a puzzle piece.
Greg was removed from his breakfast show and escorted out of a studio near Hove Lagoon in an on-air prank earlier this week and can only win back his presenting duties by completing a 20-piece jigsaw of the Radio 1 logo.
Pieces have been scattered across the UK, with the puzzle frame floating in the lagoon itself.
Today, Greg will have to take a dip in a shark tank after two listers spotted one of the pieces of the jigsaw at the SeaLife Aquarium in Brighton.

You can always rely on @mollieking to put a positive spin on a situation. ❤️
EVEN when she's telling you you're about to swim with great white sharks. 👍 🧩🦈 #Radio1GiantJigsaw @gregjames @MattEdmondson pic.twitter.com/anHJd3v2CE
The DJ has already had to jump from a very high diving board in Birmingham ahead of the Commonwealth Games next week to collect another puzzle piece.
So far, more than half the pieces have been located, with sightings in Land’s End, the Binley Mega Chippy - a chip shop made famous after going viral on TikTok, and at the Amex Stadium after a piece appeared on the BBC’s live coverage of the England v Spain match earlier this week.
Greg was spotted sitting in the lagoon yesterday, surrounded by some of the floating puzzle pieces collected and delivered to Hove by radio listeners.

Sue Johnson, secretary of the Friends of Hove Lagoon, said she has been “delighted” that Radio 1 chose to base themselves at the lagoon.
She said: “It’s been a real ‘family affair’ with Lagoon Watersports and the Big Beach Cafe providing the hospitality and Nelly Cook taking part in some of the programmes.
“Because it’s been such fun, we will forgive Radio 1 for calling the lagoon a lake and for locating us in Brighton - because, as we know, it is Hove, actually.”
While Greg tries to complete the puzzle, Scott Mills and Chris Stark have been hosting the Radio 1 Breakfast Show in his absence. The show is likely to be among the duo’s last moments on the station, as Scott is set to take up a slot on Radio 2 and Chris is due to start at Capital in the autumn.
