THREE men have been arrested following a fight in a street.
Police were called to reports of a group of people fighting in Blatchington Road, Hove, just after 4:30pm on Wednesday, July 13.
“Three men tried to make a quick getaway but were scuppered as they were tracked by police CCTV and were swiftly stopped by officers in Portslade,” a Brighton and Hove Police spokesman said.
A 24-year-old from Shoreham, a 21-year-old from Henfield and a 21-year-old from Hove were initially arrested for affray.
A subsequent search of their vehicle was conducted, where drugs and a weapon were uncovered.
All three were then arrested for being concerned in the supply of Class B drugs, while one of the men was further arrested for possession of an offensive weapon.
The driver then failed a road side drugs test and was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.
The suspects remain in custody at this time.
The police spokesman added: “We love a good result and this hat-trick we were particularly pleased with.”
