A TRAIN track is currently blocked due to a hay bale, with passengers being warned of delays to their journey.
No trains are running between Falmer and Lewes while teams at Southern and Network Rail work to remove the hay bale.
The incident was first reported at 4.33pm this afternoon.
A spokesman for Southern said: “There's an obstruction on the track between Falmer and Lewes.
“Trains running from Falmer towards Lewes are currently unable to run.
“A limited service can still run in the opposite direction, but these may be delayed or revised.”
ℹ️ The obstruction on the track has been confirmed as a hay bale.

We're working with Network Rail to remove this as quickly and as safely as possible.
We'll let you know when trains can run from Falmer towards Lewes again.
Passengers are being advised to use their tickets on Brighton and Hove Buses.
