A WOMAN has been arrested after a man was stabbed in the chest at a house.

Emergency services were called to the scene of the incident in St Andrews Close, Ferring, just after 8pm on Monday, July 11.

Upon arrival at the property, Sussex Police officers found that a man had sustained a stab wound to the chest.

He was transferred to hospital, police said.

A 36-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent.

She remains in custody.

Photographs at the scene show heavy police presence, with a number of police officers outside a property, as well as ambulances and an air ambulance helicopter.
