THOUSANDS of people turned out to support Worthing Pride last weekend, as the town enjoyed two days of scorching weather.
The annual event celebrates the diversity of the LGBTQI+ community and saw top celebrity names join an exciting line-up – including Drag Race UK’s Duncan Jones and Crystal.
Worthing was clad in rainbow colours as the parade made its way through the centre on Saturday, while the festival’s main events took place in Steyne Gardens, Marine Parade.
Others to play the festival included Liberty X, Five and N Trance.
The festival raises money for LGBTQ charity Switchboard. A spokesman for the charity said: “Celebrating the great diversity of the LGBTQI+ community, our festival includes a fabulous line-up of amazing artists and some great local stallholders offering a delicious selection of yummy food.
“You are guaranteed a weekend of family-friendly fun.”
Groups of all ages lined the streets to get stuck in to the party and show their support.
The festival has grown in size each year, as thousands headed to the town with traders also seeing a boom, and beaches packed with sun-seekers.
