A NEW delivery service has launched in the city which promises to slash wait times thanks to specialist technology.
Deliveroo Hop has partnered with Morrisons to bring online grocery shopping to customers at a rapid rate, with deliveries arriving in as little as ten minutes, its website says.
The delivery-only store has now opened in Brighton and Hove, and is packed with around 2,000 products – both branded and Morrisons’ own label.
Carlo Mocci, chief business officer at Deliveroo, said: “Ease and convenience is increasingly important to customers, and this is evident through the continued popularity of Deliveroo Hop.
“Brighton and Hove is an exciting market for us and we’re delighted to be growing the service and bringing more choice and selection to customers here to meet the increasing demand for rapid grocery delivery.
“We’re particularly excited to build on our longstanding and successful partnership with Morrisons and expand our grocery offer to local residents”.
The service is open from 8am until midnight every day, and is available via the standard Deliveroo app.
Deliveroo said that it has been able to eliminate the need for item substation with its grocery management technology, which “will enable real-time inventory control providing reliable item availability to consumers”.
