JAMES Bay is offering five people the chance to have an in person guitar lesson.
The singer-songwriter made his name by busking and performing on the streets of Brighton.
The 31-year-old, who shot to fame in 2014 with the release of his EP Let It Go, attended Bimm (The British and Irish Modern Music Institute) in Brighton, and previously revealed that he spent his afternoons busking in The Lanes.
Now, he is looking to give back to the community by offering five people who have ordered his new album leap from his official store an in person guitar lesson as part of a collaboration with guitar company Fender.
The album much be purchased by 4pm on Thursday, July 14, while the lesson will take place at Fender’s new London artist showroom on July 25.
“Learning to play the guitar always worked best for me when I had someone there to show me,” James said.
“It’s the most fun and most interactive way to learn. I’m excited to get together at Fender and pass on some of my favourite tricks and moves to help someone better their playing too.”
Winners will also receive 12-months free access to Fender Play, the online all-in-one learning platform for guitar, bass and ukulele.
The musician is also due to play an intimate album launch show at Chalk in Brighton on July 18.
