A WOMAN who assaulted a police officer has been given a 12-month community order.
Marie Marisson, 30, pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Hannah Fall in Crawley on September 19 last year.
Marisson, of Carman Walk, Crawley, also pleaded guilty to causing an affray and to a further charge of assaulting Emma Hully causing her actual bodily harm on the same day in Crawley.
She was convicted of all charges at Crawley magistrates’ court on May 25.
Marisson had originally appeared in Hove Crown Court in June for a hearing and had been released on bail ahead of sentencing.
As part of the community order she was ordered to undertake 120 hours of unpaid work.
The court made no order for costs or compensation.
